Cork is Ireland's second most significant city after Dublin and is a popular holiday destination. The city receives a large number of annual visitors and offers a good selection of hotels of various standards to suit all needs.
Among the most reputable establishments within proximity of the port is the Rushbrooke Hotel. This is a three-star hotel offering rooms with all modern conveniences and hotel facilities such as a Massage Clinic & Beauty Spa and waterfront lounge.
Other options include the Carrigaline Court Hotel, a four-star establishment located just five minutes from the ferry terminal and the Jurys Cork Hotel which, while not especially close, is one of the city's most respected hotels.
Eitherway, you will not be pushed to find accommodation in Cork, though in the height of summer you might not be able to be choosy, unless booking in advance. It's a pleasant city with pedestrianised centre, suitable for walking. Some of the better hotels are located out of the centre. There are also plenty of B&Bs, with some located in Ringaskiddy, a small village near the port.
